There has been three variants of the Meltdown and Spectre vulnerability in the wild until today.
Intel announced that another side channel attack was possible in a language-based environment such as web browsers. Intel says that they have not yet seen any wild examples of this variant being exploited and that the previous mitigations should cover this variant. They are, however, developing specific mitigations for this version of the vulnerability.
